About the founder
The South African Dutch Trust Company is founded by Jan Hendrik Wille, born in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Following his education at the VU University in Amsterdam and the London School of Economics, he acquired over 30 years of experience in international corporate, legal and tax services. Jan Hendrik Wille holds the South African professional title of Master Tax Professional (SA)™, has been member of the General Council of The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce and is currently secretary of the Board Holland-Gulf Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, Jan Hendrik Wille is a member of the International Fiscal Association and the South African Institute of Tax Professionals.
Following his international career in London and Amsterdam, Jan Hendrik Wille identified a lack of available corporate, legal and international tax services for companies exploiting cross border activities between these countries and Southern Africa. Having set up operational offices in Stellenbosch (South Africa) and Amsterdam (the Netherlands), and a satellite office in London (United Kingdom), his company remained locally based, while providing internationally relevant advice. This makes us the perfect solution for tax, corporate and legal services for both European companies looking to expand into South Africa and South African businesses looking to invest in Europe.
About the company
Despite our international reach, we are a boutique firm structured around personal relationships with each individual client, rather than offering batch solutions. Working on this more intimate level we can also offer secondary advice on investment and banking considerations case by case. Operating on a small scale is part of our DNA and success, allowing for much more effective tailor-made solutions for our clients. Among our most popular services are the design and realisation of international corporate structures, ensuring that the companies involved stay in strong legal standing and comply with the bilateral and domestic laws and regulations set forth by the European Union and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
With the benefit of a vast network of resources and working alongside various governmental bodies in both Europe and South Africa, the South African-Dutch Trust Company offers a great platform to start your company abroad without worrying about inconveniences such as foreign laws. We understand that successfully expanding into a foreign nation is a crucial yet stressful part of any company’s growth. Our vast knowledge of the complexities of tax, law and investments from a lifetime of working in these industries throughout Africa and Europe will help alleviate the burden of dealing with these foreign compliance laws on your own.
